Quality Engineer Jobs in Connecticut
A Quality Engineer plays a crucial role in the engineering industry, primarily being responsible for ensuring the quality of processes and products in production. They develop and implement quality control systems, oversee the analysis and inspection of products, and identify and eliminate defects for the highest level of customer satisfaction. They also work to enhance the efficiency of production and reduce costs. They are significantly involved in the development and optimization of inspection processes, the analysis of quality cost problems, or the setup of quality control parameters when launching a new product.
Important skills for a Quality Engineer include statistical analysis, proficiency in auditing and quality testing, an understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes, and strong problem-solving abilities. They should ideally have a Six Sigma Certification or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) credential. Prior to becoming a Quality Engineer, one could serve roles such as a Quality Technician, Quality Inspector, or Process Engineer, which help provide a solid foundation in quality control and process improvement needed in the Quality Engineer role.
