Aerospace Engineer Jobs in Ontario
Aerospace Engineers play a significant role in the engineering industry as they are responsible for designing, developing, testing, and producing aircraft and spacecraft. They often specialize in areas such as aerodynamics, thermodynamics, celestial mechanics, flight mechanics, propulsion, acoustics, or guidance and control systems. They can work on the design of cutting-edge technology, such as commercial transport, military fighter jets, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, and even spacecraft. They also troubleshoot issues, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and conduct research to enhance flight safety and fuel efficiency.
In terms of skills, Aerospace Engineers should have a strong understanding of mathematical and physical sciences to design aircraft and spacecraft. They should also have excellent problem-solving abilities, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in using design and simulation software. A degree in aerospace engineering or a related engineering field is a fundamental requirement for this role. In addition, Professional Engineer (PE) certification is often beneficial.
