Job Description
This Project Manager role is specifically being recruited by the College of Medicine Center for Clinical Research Management to support the Ohio State Genomic Health community health research initiative. The goal of Ohio State Genomic Health is to recruit 100,000 research participants over a 45-year period. Ohio State Genomic Health is a partnership with Helix, a population genomics company. As part of Ohio State Genomic Health, clinical genomic screening is also being conducted on each consented participant, with the return of positive and negative genomic screening results for three clinically actionable conditions that confer increased risk for certain types of cancer and cardiovascular disease. Specifically, the Project Manager for Ohio State Genomic Health will report to the Executive Director and Principal Investigator of Ohio State Genomic Health, in the Division of Human Genetics in the Department of Internal Medicine at OSU Wexner Medical Center. Ohio State Genomic Health is part of the broader Helix Research Network (HRN). In collaboration with the PI, you will help implement plans to align strategies and initiatives to achieve study goals and objectives, facilitate and manage administrative operations related to data access and research utilizing the Ohio State Genomic Health and HRN datasets, and manage the administrative functions of multiple workstreams related to the success of Ohio State Genomic Health. You will also assist the PI in the development of Ohio State Genomic Health progress reports, presentations, meeting summaries, website content, as well as the planning and execution of recruitment activities. You will also assist with the writing and submission of articles, manuscripts, abstracts, and research reports for publication and presentation.
Minimum Education Require d
Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; 2 years of relevant experience required.
Preferred Education
Masters degree preferred; 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
Experience in an administrative and management capacity required; considerable knowledge of university and departmental policies rules and regulations required; reasonable knowledge of clinical research and applications required; outstanding interpersonal communication organizational and computer skills required.
P referred Experience/Qualifications
Considerable knowledge of clinical research regulations guidelines and compliance; previous genomics clinical or research experience preferred.
Requires successful completion of a background check.
