Job Title: Electrical Equipment Engineer
Job Description
We are hiring Electrical Equipment Engineers to support an automotive OEM in the Assembly department. This role focuses on assembly-related automated equipment. The Equipment Engineer will be responsible for maintaining high running efficiency and low mean time between failure (MTBF) for the equipment. The engineer will also investigate and implement business plans or end-of-life projects to maintain or improve the running efficiency of the assembly department.
Responsibilities
- Perform Problem Solving / Root Cause Analysis - Complete problem-solving analysis, investigations, report writing, and containment/repair activity with speed.
- Maintain Equipment on-line - Study equipment performance and reliability and develop solutions for increasing uptime.
- Install new equipment - Develop business plans and manage projects to implement new equipment for continuous improvement activities.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 6 years' equivalent experience.
- PLC Experience.
- Automated Equipment Experience (CO-OP or 1-2 years of experience).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Knowledge of Assembly Manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of PLC.
- General engineering principles as it relates to assembly equipment.
- Project Management Skills.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly to multiple layers of management.
Work Environment
This role is based in a large-scale manufacturing automotive plant, within a team of about 10 engineers on the equipment team. The position requires working 8 hours throughout the week and during holiday shutdowns, with paid double time. It offers a long-term opportunity with involvement in Electrical Vehicle production in the Marysville plant.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $39.00/hr.
