Job Opportunity: Civil Engineer (10+ Years Experience)

Location: Seattle, WA

About Us: We are a growing national firm specializing in civil engineering, construction management, and environmental permitting. We are seeking a self-motivated, mid-level Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. Our projects span utility design, telecom, federal and state projects, single-family, multi-family, mixed-use, and commercial developments in the Seattle, WA area.

  • Competitive salary range: $120,000 - $170,000

Position Overview: The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in site development, stormwater report writing, redlining plans, and obtaining permits. This role aims to transition into the principal civil engineer position, requiring excellent communication skills with design teams and multiple agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and understand code requirements
  • Write stormwater reports and redline plans for drafters
  • Obtain permits for various projects (over 100 permits per year)
  • Communicate effectively with architects, landscape architects, MEP, structural, and geotechnical engineers
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities
  • Provide exceptional client service

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of civil engineering design experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • PE license required
  • Experience with building layout, sidewalks, water systems, sanitary sewer, stormwater, and street roadway design in an urban setting
  • Ability to pass a background check for federal military work
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products, MGS Flood, WWHM, WaterCAD, WaterGEMS, Hec-Ras, EPA SWMM 5, Civil 3D, and knowledge of Revit
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. for maintenance hole visual inspections

Education:

  • High school diploma and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field
