ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Manage and oversee all engineering activities within a regional office in Dublin, Ohio

Organize and supervise hiring and training.

Create and implement engineering process and goals.

Develop and coordinate engineering projects and strategies.

Manage group finance, expense, budgeting.

Research and implement new or innovative technologies.

Develop and evaluate engineering members.

Coordinate and monitor engineering projects.

Provide technical guidance.

Build and foster business relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Collaborate with upper management.

Conduct activities to ensure compliance with regulations related to equipment assets for our department and related departments.

Support the Engineering team in identifying and resolving any processes, equipment, and issues that may impact on time project delivery.

Lead and mentor Engineering managers and technical leads, ensuring that the department's structure and processes align with business needs.

Develop and maintain the departments roadmap, balancing long-term innovation with short-team project delivery.

Provide leadership on complex technical projects, ensuring best practices are followed in software development, systems architecture, and quality control.

Advocate for continuous improvement in engineering tools, processes, and infrastructure.

Ensure consistent and clear communication between the engineering team, other departments, Japan Headquarters, and Manufacturing.

Build and scale engineering teams by attracting and retaining top talent, while fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.

Encourage a culture of experimentation and innovation within the engineering teams to drive new solutions and technical advancements.

Directly interface with customer engineers and management to foster and promote close business relationships.

Provided support toward the certification and ensured compliance to customer-required quality management systems (TISAX, TS16949, IATF, etc.)

Positions that fall under the functions of Product Development, Legal, HR, IT, and Executive Management are required to exercise a higher level of confidentiality and discretion in handling information the positions have access to.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING

Bachelor's or master's Degree in a relevant engineering field.

20+ years of work experience in an engineering environment, delivering automotive components.

10+ years of experience in a management role.

Possesses knowledge and experience in the engineering process, automotive interior electronics, and OEM process.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS

Valid U.S. driver's license is required.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:

Use of standard PC office tools, familiar with automotive test equipment.
