We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Applied Research Associate Engineer for the exciting research project called: Drift Room at Knowlton School of Architecture with Professor Marta Nowak. This research project involves designing and setting up an exhibition at Hopkins Gallery called The Future of Workplace.

Candidates chosen will:
Collaborate with the professor to refine research project design and objectives
Research and assist in material selection and integration into the 3D model
Utilize various fabrication techniques (3D printing, laser cutting, etc.) to produce model parts and parts of the exhibit
Assemble model parts and conduct research on functionality and aesthetics
Research and execute color strategies for 3D prints
Create detailed drawings and renderings for research submissions
Research, design and fabricate components for the project exhibit

This experience will provide:
Opportunity to work on a cutting-edge research project and exhibition
Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques and technology integration
Collaborative and supportive work environment with experienced professionals

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or equivalent experience.

Desired Experience: 1 year of experience; current architecture student. Proficiency in design software such as Rhino, Illustrator. Experience with 3D fabrication techniques and tools such as 3d printing, Zund, CNC and laser cuter. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow design specifications. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Self-motivated with a passion for design innovation and experimentation.
