Job Description
Our client, a leader in the automotive industry, is seeking a Test Engineer II to join their team. As a Test Engineer II, you will be part of the engineering development team supporting the redundant autonomous steering system of the autonomous Cascadia truck. The ideal candidate will have creativity, strong analytical skills, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $40-45/h + Benefits
What's the Job?
- Research, design, develop, manufacture, and utilize testing tools including Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) test benches and simulations to validate electromechanical system designs.
- Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to ensure internal requirements meet all customer requirements.
- Develop and execute test cases that fully cover internal requirements, as well as develop test cases that require out-of-the-box thinking to fully validate developing products.
- Investigate component and system failures and make recommendations to design engineers.
- Thoroughly document and report test case results using internal reporting tools.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
- 2-4 years of experience required.
- Familiarity with CAN-FD networks and cybersecurity features, such as Secure Onboard Communications (SecOC).
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and schematics.
- Previous experience with engineering software tools such as Vector's tool suite (CANoe, CANape, and CANalyzer), coding languages (Python, MATLAB, and CAPL), and engineering lifecycle management tools (IBM's Engineering Requirements Management DOORS Next (ELM).
